Convenor of PNGIW25 and PNG CORE President Anthony Smaré stated, ” The Financial Resilience Sovereign Wealth Forum comes at a pivotal time for PNG – a resilient banking system is essential to underpin PNG’s growing economic activity and it’s critical that PNG harnesses today’s resource revenues through a strong sovereign wealth framework to securing benefits for future generations of Papua New Guineans.”

The first session, “Building a Stable and Inclusive Banking System for PNG’s Financial Resilience”, will be held on Wednesday afternoon and will feature Bank of Papua New Guinea Governor Elizabeth Genia, TISA Bank Group CEO Michael Koisen, Credit Corporation CEO Danny Robinson and BSP Group CEO Mark T. Robinson in a moderated discussion and audience Q&A. Later that afternoon, “Transforming Resource Revenues into Generational Assets through PNG’s Sovereign Wealth Framework” will bring together Hon. Joseph Lelang, Professor Martin Davies, PNG Sustainable Development Program Limited Chairman Peter Graham and MRDC Managing Director Augustine Mano.

The days program will conclude with an evening networking cocktail function as part of the broader PNG Investment Week 2025 program.
